Discipleship Matters '25
We are excited to announce that beginning May 7th, we will be launching our next series of Discipleship Classes. This session will center around the important theme of "The Importance of Mental Health and Christianity."
In today's world, mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and we believe that integrating these discussions with our faith can strengthen our spiritual journeys. Each class will feature engaging teachings, open discussions, and practical applications that highlight how our Christian beliefs can support mental wellness and address the challenges many face today.
Teaching is a core value of our community, and we invite you to participate in this enriching experience as we grow together in Christ.
May-June '25 Sessions
Jesus & Therapy: Can faith and therapy work together? This course explores the relationship between Jesus’ teachings and the principles of mental and emotional well-being. By examining Scripture, psychological insights, and the role of counseling in spiritual growth, students will gain a deeper understanding of how faith and therapy can complement each other in the journey toward healing and wholeness.
Anxiety Keeps on Tryin’ Me: In a world filled with uncertainty, stress, and anxiety, how does our faith in Christ provide true peace and hope? This course explores the biblical perspective on stress and anxiety, examining how Scripture addresses worry, fear, and the burdens of life and how we can best manage these in our lives. Through a study of Scripture and an understanding of vest practices, students will discover God’s promises of peace and learn practical ways to trust Him in difficult times.
Resting in Peace Before Resting in Peace: In today’s culture of constant demands and busyness, many Christians struggle with burnout, stress, and the challenge of maintaining a healthy balance between work, ministry, and personal life. This course explores how biblical principles—especially the gift of the Sabbath—provide a foundation for sustainable living, renewal, and spiritual well-being.
They Not Like Us: Understanding the Mind of the Next Generation: Life is filled with challenges, stress, and uncertainty, but how we respond to difficulties can shape our spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being. This exploration offers invaluable insights to forge deeper connections, provide meaningful support, and empower the emerging generation. Participants will uncover God's promise of peace and hope by engaging with scripture and examining mental, emotional, and social dynamics and be equipped with practical ways to place their trust in God across generations.
Building Online Firewalls: In an age where digital connectivity impacts nearly every aspect of life, the intersection of mental health and faith has become more complex and urgent than ever before. This course explores how Christianity can safeguard themselves against comparison and image/identity issues in a world increasingly shaped by digital technology, social media, and constant connectivity.
I Don’t Think We’re Related – Navigating Relationships: We approach all of our interpersonal relationships with minds that have been formed by several things, and those things impact how we communicate and how we receive. This course explores an understanding of our frame of mind as well as the frames of others and how that impacts how we relate to each other.
