Health & Fitness Center
After a long day at the office or at school, what better way to unwind than by heading to the Antioch Fitness Center? Here, members as well as our friends from the community, can come and work toward reaching their desired fitness goals. We have a huge Multi-Purpose Center with a regulation-sized gymnasium ready to serve basketball, volleyball, and aerobics. The Fitness Center is also equipped with a second-floor walking track, just right for speed walkers or those who want to “take it slow.” Our weekly schedule has activities to fit everyone’s fitness needs. We have trained instructors who are ready to serve you and offer guidance as you seek to get “spiritually fit!”
When you’re healthy, you can feel it inside and out! And what better way to stay healthy than by monitoring your eating habits and exercise habits. Antioch is concerned about the total body and well-being of our members. This area is geared toward helping you achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Studies show that the healthier you are, the more vibrant and outgoing your personality is. And nothing could be worse than a cranky Christian!
The Health and Wellness Ministry will focus on hosting health screenings, blood donations, providing health tips, and giving you information on Walk/Run events to support in the community. This ministry takes it one step further by researching and identifying aliments that plague our society, and how we can overcome these aliments by altering our eating and exercise habits. Ultimately our goal is to highlight all health- awareness months to bring attention and support to those who are battling illnesses in our community.
