SESSION SPEAKERS AND CLASS
ES

PUTTING ON THE WHOLE ARMOR
Facilitator: Pastor Eddie Jenkins, Good Street Baptist Church, Dallas, TX
You cannot handle Satan sifting if you don’t realize that you are armed and dangerous as a believer. This session will focus on the proper use of your God-given armor as a believer.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WORSHIPING
Facilitator: Dr. Karry D. Wesley, Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, TX
This class will focus on the importance of men continuing to worship the Lord during the seasons of sifting. During Job’s sifting season, he bowed down and worshiped the Lord. Satan knows that worship involves entering the presence of the Lord. Satan would love for our private and public worship to stop while being sifted.

RECOGNIZING THE FATHER'S FAVOR
Facilitator: Pastor Darrell Porter, Hopewell Baptist Church, Centerville, TX
During our seasons of being sifted, we often fail to see the favor of God taking place at the same time. Joseph didn’t realize that God used the sifting seasons to lead to future promotions. You may be thrown in a pit but praise God there was no water in it.

THE POWER OF PRAYER
Facilitator: Pastor Louis Rosenthal, The McKinney First Baptist Church, McKinney, TX
The greatest weapon we possess is the weapon of prayer. During the sifting seasons, we really need to continue praying like Daniel. While the sifting was going on, Daniel went to his chamber and prayed a prayer of thanksgiving.

REMAINING FAITHFUL IN ALL SEASONS
Facilitator: Pastor Richard Rollerson, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Terrell, TX
During the sifting seasons, Satan desires for us to stop during what is right. The Hebrew Boys witnessed a sifting season that called for them to bow down to the ways of the world. They refused to do it and remained faithful to the Lord.

TRUSTING GOD WHEN YOU CAN'T TRACE HIM
Facilitator: Pastor Anthony Nolan, Paradise Baptist Church, Dallas, TX
During the sifting seasons, the Lord is seemingly absent and silent. However, we are to continue trusting Him even when we can’t trace Him. In Psalm 13, David struggled with this concern. In this session, you will learn that He is working in your favor although you may not be able to see the work.

DEALING WITH DEPRESSION
Facilitator: Pastor Nyal Bell, Greater New Bethel Baptist Church Dallas, TX
During the seasons of sifting, godly men can witness depression. When Elijah witnessed one of his seasons of sifting, he climbed under a juniper tree and wanted to die. What are we to do when we think we can’t take any more?

THE SIFTER USES FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Facilitator: Pastor Oscar Epps, Community Baptist Church, DeSoto, TX
During the sifting seasons, Satan often uses family to try and pull us away from our commitment to God. Job had to deal with different sifting seasons with his children, wife and friends. Joseph and David faced sifting seasons as a result of their brothers being used by Satan. Satan knows which schemes work best to draw us away from the Lord.

LEARNING HOW TO USE YOUR SHIELD OF FAITH
Facilitator: Pastor Terry White, Marsalis Avenue Baptist Church Dallas, TX
During the sifting seasons in Peter’s life, Jesus prayed that Peter’s faith would not fail. This session will focus on the shield of faith that we have to face the fiery darts of the enemy.

IT'S ONLY A TEST
Facilitator: Pastor Ed Johnson, III, Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church, Desoto, TX
During the sifting season in the saint’s life, we should know that we are being tested and tempted at the same time. Satan tempts us but God tests us. Your spiritual stage of development will determine which way you go. In James 1, we are given a spiritual cheat sheet to help pass the test.

RELYING ON THE SPIRIT AND THE SCRIPTURE DURING THE SIFTING SEASON
Facilitator: Pastor Rod Jones, Nacogdoches Bible Church, Nacogdoches, TX
When Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted (sifted) by the devil He relied on the Spirit and Scripture to get the victory. The Spirit led Him there but didn’t leave Him alone. Jesus used the Word to deal with the sifting season..
