Living In Between

The Book of Deuteronomy deals with hardship, testing, and doubt, but also with promise, hope, and trust. It reminds us that faith is not automatic or mechanical. Faith becomes personal and active when it springs from a living relationship with a loving God. The message of Deuteronomy can be summed up as follows: "Devote yourself wholeheartedly to God." Despite what many Christians think, this book's message is especially relevant for the church today.

Titus: Good Doctrine and Godly Living

It has always been a challenge to develop a good church—even in New Testament days. Titus, a young leader of an argumentative church, needed to learn to refute false teachers, calm church disunity, and find quality leaders. Even with God's Spirit at work, church life means sweat and tears. Those who persevere, as Titus did, will discover the power and satisfaction that God gives, then and now

Is It Okay to Doubt?

What do you do when you start to doubt? Perhaps you wonder if God really cares about you, or you're troubled by a certain Christian belief, or you have a hard time believing a good God could let such evil exist. Worse, you may wonder if you are truly a Christian if you have doubts. No matter what your questions are, and regardless of where your doubts are coming from, this 3-session Bible study will help you discover what the Bible has to say about doubts, and you'll make a plan to overcome them.

The Elijah Chronicles

Elijah demonstrates both courage and fear in the book of 1 Kings. We see him boldly tell the evil king Ahab, "There will be no rain or dew until God says so." Elijah trusts God to bring a young man back to life, and he faces the prophets of Baal in a contest. But when Elijah bottoms-out emotionally, he finds out that God's kingdom is bigger than he can imagine. This three-session course reveals that God is true to his Word and that he will never leave us alone.

6 Weeks Courses | Dates Offered: April 14 – May 19

Fostering Faith-Shaping Friendships

Our friendships can have a deep impact on our faith. This study explores the friendships of people in the Bible: Ruth and Naomi, David and Jonathan, Paul and Philemon, and more. Discover what it takes to form and strengthen spiritual friendships, what spiritual friendship looks like, how friendships can transform our lives, and how they witness to others.

Prayer and Listening

Most Christians have experienced the "laundry list" phase of spiritual life, in which praying means giving God an agenda of needs to handle. But how do you move to having real conversation with God? How do you hear what God is saying back to you? How can you make your experience of God's presence part of everyday life? In this six-session Bible Study, Jan Johnson covers the disciplines of prayer and of practicing God's presence. Going deeper in these areas will help you to draw closer to God in everything you do.

Daniel: Faithful in All Circumstances

While we most often remember Daniel as the one in the lions' den, there was a lot more to his life. Throughout the first six chapters of Daniel, we learn about how to remain faithful in all circumstances. He ran into several trying situations that may have caused him to lose faith or bend from his beliefs, but Daniel stayed strong.
